Back from Krabi, Thailand. It's much fun and interesting trip than Endua Rompin Trip. It's the first time that trip held SP Nights a.k.a (Secret Partner). The theme is Romacing Krabi. I was quite reluctant to join in the Romancing Krabi, thinking what happened in ODAC Freshmen Orientation. However, The Romacing Krabi is much more siong than the FO Camp.
On the first day, we arrived the krabi airport in the evening and took cab to Ao Nang Beach. We then transit to take a long-tailed boat ride to Tonsai Bay, the place we are staying in. Abit of cock-up and there, the rooms that we had placed reservation have given away. Ended up, the guys have to take the lower standard room, without the toilet. Definitely cheaper. I had trouble seaching our room with my roommate, Roy in the dark. The place was lineared scattered with small wooden huts on the slope. Thanks to xueling who think highly of me as trek comm, our room was highest and the deepest in the forest.
After which, it's dinner and then OTOT. Had alcohol at the beach with the Weiqin, Xueling, Xuemin, Peiying, Sebarina, Jen and Derek. Played the KING's game, where the person who picked KING can give instruction to the 2 who picked up ACE. All the while, the foreiters are both guy and girl and the punishments are the quite extreme. Derek had all the pictures of the "scandals". Good way to get sponsor from Singapore Dating Unit by these pictures.
Before turning to sleep, the guys have to write letters to the SP but the guys do not know who are their SP are.
On second day, we went kayaking to some island and mangrove swamp to feed the monkeys. Made many "enemies" during the kayaking for splashing water on them, wanting to capsize them. Gradually, everyone joins in the fun and out do to splash one and another. Tiring but enjoyable. Had short break and we went to went to pick star fish and small crabs. Dinner at the Ao Nang Restaurant which xueling recommended so that she can see her favourite cute boss at there.
Night falls, the same gang of us had another round 2 of playing the KING's game on the second night. Had foreit with someone where she had to lick the salt on my neck. Lost for words, nervous, don't know what say. I definitely gained this.
Third day, shopping till u drop and prepared for SP night show down. First time, shoplift in thailand. Xuemin unknownly took a pant out of the shop and we hided it. The girls are powerful bragaining machines. For the Romacing Krabi Finale, it was a excitng moment, one by one, the guy had to go to room of girls and looked for his partner. And of course, the guy had to do "something" in return to get his date. I had a strong feeling that it's Ethel, judging from the contents of the letter she replied to me and I guess correctly! But game is not that easy. I had to do something good enough in order to win my SP and satisfied the girls. Ended up, I purposed to do hand-stand with push-ups. Ethel was satisfied. We had time of our own before we headed to the beach bar for bbq and played couple games.
The last day was the main highlight where we get to see and feel fish and corals in the crystal blue water., we had to take a speed boat on island-hopping and snorkeling. We reached the bamboo island where the water was shallow to try and get used to our equipment. Initially, I had difficultly in using the equipment and after a while I can swim easily with it. Later we went to Maya bay where the movie, "The beach" is. Had great time snorkeling with xueling and taking care of her cos her life-jacket is too big for her and water always get into her mask. We got bitten by some micro-organisms as we snorkeled to a beach for a rest.
Appointed to be "motion-sick" IC by xueling, as some girls are having sea-sick on the speed boat. Bought some packets of sour plum for them at the phi phi island, told them to enjoy scenery or looked far at a stationary object. Went to last island, the rest went snorkeling while I stayed on board to feed fishes. Finally we headed back to Tonsai to get our belongings, took long-tailed boat to Ao Nang and van to airport back to Singapore. At the airport, we had our last dinner together and parted from there.....
My feeling : Definitely will go back to Krabi again to stay longer as 4 days are quite short. I want to try out the natural rock-climbing there if I can get climbing cert.
